About to start CDL school and already thinking about what type of driving I want to do.
I keep hearing different things:
- OTR = more money but gone all the time
- Regional = good balance
- Local = home daily but harder to get as a new driver
For those who’ve been through it - what did you start with? What would you recommend for building experience while still having some life balance?
Also wondering if the type of driving affects the DOT compliance stuff or drug testing requirements?
Appreciate any advice!
