Best Truck Stop Food Finds - Share Your Hidden Gems!

Hey everyone! Cuban Papi here, been hauling flatbed up and down the East Coast for 15 years.

One thing I’ve learned - good food on the road doesn’t have to be gas station hot dogs and vending machines. I’ve found some amazing spots over the years.

My current favorites:

  • Jubitz in Portland, OR - Their breakfast is legendary. Real eggs, real bacon.
  • Iowa 80 - The restaurant there is actually legit, plus you can walk around the trucking museum after
  • Little America in Wyoming - 75-cent cones might be the best deal on I-80

Great thread idea, Cuban Papi! :+1: After 40 years OTR, I’ve got a few to add:

Petro in Joplin, MO - Iron Skillet there does a mean chicken fried steak. Been stopping there since the 90s and it’s still solid.

Sapp Bros in Percival, IA - The home cooking is real. Mashed potatoes that taste like somebody’s grandma made 'em.

TA in Ontario, CA - Country Pride there has a great trucker’s breakfast. Get the biscuits and gravy.

Pro tip for the newer drivers: Always ask the waitress what the regulars order. They know what’s fresh and what’s been sitting.

Good food makes the miles easier. Keep 'em rolling! :articulated_lorry:
